Diplomirao (2008.) i doktorirao (2013.) kemiju na PMF-u u Zagrebu. Godine 2009. izabran je u zvanje asistenta, 2014. u višeg asistenta, 2016. u docenta, a 2023. godine u izvanrednog profesora u Zavodu za analitičku kemiju Kemijskog odsjeka PMF-a. Kao znanstvenik gostovao je na Tehničkom Sveučilištu Nanyang (NTU, Singapur), Tehničkom sveučilištu u Münchenu (TU München, Njemačka), Tehničkom sveučilištu u Grazu (TU Graz, Austrija) i na Sveučilištu u Pečuhu (Mađarska).
Bavi se sintezom i strukturnom karakterizacijom biološki aktivnih spojeva (makrolidni antibiotici, peptidne nukleinske kiseline, metaboliti i mali organski ligandi); proučavanjem interakcija biomolekula; analizom kompleksnih smjesa; razvojem procesnih analitičkih tehnika (PAT) temeljenih na vibracijskoj spektroskopiji in-line te identifikacijom polimorfa bioaktivnih spojeva kombinacijom spektroskopskih metoda (NMR, IR, Raman) i SWAXS analize. Objavio je 23 znanstvena rada citirana u bazi WoS, koautor je 2 poglavlja u znanstvenim monografijama, 2 skripta za studente i 1 sveučilišnog udžbenika. O svojim je rezultatima učestalo izvješćivao na znanstvenim skupovima u obliku pozvanih predavanja, usmenih i posterskih priopćenja.
Sudjeluje u nastavi iz analitičke kemije na prijediplomskom studiju Kemija, diplomskom studiju Kemija (smjer: istraživački), doktorskom studiju Kemija (smjer: Analitička kemija) i na integriranim studijima (Biologija kemija te Fizika i kemija; smjer: nastavnički).
Član je Hrvatskog kemijskog društva i Hrvatskog društva kemijskih inženjera i tehnologa. Dobitnik je Priznanja Vijeća PMF-a za postignute rezultate u znanstvenom i stručnom radu za 2015. godinu. Kao predstavnik Kemijskog odsjeka sudjelovao je u organizaciji 22. Smotre Sveučilišta u Zagrebu 2017. Bio je predsjednik Povjerenstva Kemijskog odsjeka PMF-a u postupku predlaganja studentskih radova za Rektorovu nagradu i Nagradu Kemijskog odsjeka za ak. god. 2022./2023. i 2023./2024.
