On Friday December 15, 2023, at the Faculty of Science - Department of Mathematics, an appropriate program was held on the occasion of marking the Indian National Day of Mathematics and the Indian-Croatian mathematical cooperation.
His Excellency, Mr. Raj Kumar Srivastava, Ambassador of India to the Republic of Croatia, gave an introductory speech, and then prof. dr. sc. Hrvoje Šikić held a lecture on scientific relations between Croatia and India in the field of probability theory.
Those present were also greeted by the president of the Croatian-Indian Society, Joginder Singh-Nijjar, the president of Croatian Mathematical Society, prof. dr.sc. Vesna Županović and dean of the Faculty of Science prof. dr. sc. Mirko Planinić. The moderator of the event was the head of the Department of Mathematics, prof. dr. sc. Luka Grubišić.
After the professional part of the program, socializing continued in a relaxed atmosphere.
