Fran Vidaković completed his graduate studies in geology at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics in 2024 with a defense of the topic "Triassic marine reptiles from the vicinity of Krašić (Žumberak)", under the mentorship of associate professor Ph.D. Aleksandra Mezga.
During his studies, he worked several times as an educator as part of events in the Brijuni National Park. Shortly after his studies, he worked for a short time as an expert associate as part of the development of the new permanent exhibition of the Croatian Museum of Natural History. Since 2024, he has been working as an assistant at the Institute of Geology and Paleontology at the Geology Department of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics.
His scientific interests include vertebrate paleontology, taxonomy and biostratigraphy of ammonites and conodonts, and stratigraphy and sedimentology of the Triassic deposits of the Republic of Croatia and its surroundings. He is a member of the Croatian Geological Society.
