1. Introduction, application of knowledge of flora, examples of application, need for data, recipients and service providers, state of research and problems, diversity of Croatian flora
2. Distribution of diversity in plant families, comparison with other areas, abiotic influencing factors and data sources
3. Endangered flora and protection, international and national legislation and conventions, threat assessment, IUCN categories and meaning, basic assessment settings, regional adaptation
4. State of threat and assessments in Croatia, red books and lists, overview of state of threat and causes of threat of Croatian flora
5. Non-native and invasive flora, definitions and terminology, classification and standardization, presentation of the situation in Croatia, examples
6. Economic botany I, importance of plants in economy, standards of economic botany, presentation of flora with regard to utility value
7. Economic botany II, overview of the most important families and examples, origin of species in culture
8. Endemism, basic concepts and definitions, terminology, endemics in the flora of Croatia, abundance and distribution, comparison with other areas, selected examples
9. Standards in Botany, needs and solutions, TDWG
10. Methods of investigating the diversity of flora I, inventory, basic directions, prerequisites and assumptions, determination, accessories and materials, production of flora lists, field work, examples

Review of literature related to the flora of Croatia, Flora of Croatia, Flora of neighboring countries, Flora of the Mediterranean and Europe, Monographs of genera/families, Illustrated monographs, Iconographies, International Botanical Codex, Virtual floras, Virtual libraries; overview of the most important botanists of the Croatian flora, Giovanni Antonio Scopoli, Paul (Pál) Kitaibel, Muzio Giuseppe Spirito de' Tommasini, Roberto Visiani, Josip Kalasancije Schlosser, Ljudevit (Farkaš) Vukotinović, Ljudevit Rossi, Günther Ritter Beck von Mannagetta und Lerchenau, Arpad Degen, August von Hayek, Ivo Horvat, Čedomil Šilić
2. Herbarium, definitions, role, organization, history, herbarium collections in Croatia; type herbarium specimens, botanical nomenclature
