COURSE CONTENT:
Within Higher laboratory in analytical chemistry 2 student chooses one of the offered research topics from analytical chemistry that are either a part of a scientific research in progress, or the development of appropriate analytical methods. Under assistant supervision student independently conducts the research, which includes a literature review, preparation and measurement of samples as well as data analysis and interpretation. Upon completion of the experimental part of the study the student is required to present the research in the form of a written seminar paper and oral communication.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
To independently carry out a scientific research.
To search the relevant scientific literature.
To plan the experimental work.
To prepare samples for the analysis by instrumental techniques and perform appropriate measurements.
To interpret the results.
To report the research in the form of a written seminar paper and an oral presentation.
