Robert Pendelić completed his undergraduate (2020) and graduate (2023) studies in molecular biology at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. He prepared his thesis on The Neuroprotective Effect of Dehydroepiandrosterone Sulfate (DHEAS) in in vitro models of Alzheimer's Disease at the Laboratory for Molecular Neuropsychiatry, Department of Molecular Medicine, Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb, under the supervision of Dr. Gordana Nedić Erjavec and co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Dubravka Hranilović.
Since February 2024, he has been employed as an assistant at the Department of Biochemistry at the Chemistry Division of the Faculty of Science.
His scientific interests are related to the genetic code, the evolutionary origin of the genome, xenonucleic acids, and other aspects of synthetic biology.
