All teaching activities will be held in Croatian. However, foreign students in mixed groups will have the opportunity to attend additional office hours with the lecturer and teaching assistants in English to help master the course materials. Additionally, the lecturer will refer foreign students to the corresponding literature in English, as well as give them the possibility of taking the associated exams in English.

COURSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: To develop skills in applications of numerical and advanced statistical methods in mathematical modeling; to understand and to interpret correctly statistical data and analyses; to develop skills in using statistical and numerical software, and in presentations of projects.

1. Application of linear models in analysis of statistical data (3 - 4 weeks)
2. Application of statistical methods in analyses and simulation of time series, especially ARMA processes. (4 weeks)
3. Simulations of stationary processes. (3 weeks)
4. Application of nonparametric methods in analysis of statistical data. (3 - 4 weeks)
