However, foreign students in mixed groups will have the opportunity to attend additional office hours with the lecturer and teaching assistants in English to help master the course materials. Additionally, the lecturer will refer foreign students to the corresponding literature in English, as well as give them the possibility of taking the associated exams in English.

Description:

COURSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: Integrating knowledge and skills about programming, database systems, and networking. Mastering up-to-date technologies for programming in the web environment. Putting emphasis on individual or team-work of students.

COURSE DESCRIPTION AND SYLLABUS:
1. Programming in a scripting language, e.g. Perl.
2. Web client programming in JavaScript. Development of active web pages.
3. Web server programming in Perl or C. Dynamic generation of web pages.
4. Accessing a database from a web server program with embedded SQL.
5. Development of network-oriented applications with web interface and database access.
