Description:
Introduction and tectonic units of the wider area of Croatia - Croatia as part of the Dinarides and the Pannonian Basin. History of research and interpretation of geotectonic units in Croatia. Outer and Inner Dinarides - boundary/transition, spatial position, paleogeographic affiliation, overview of stratigraphy. Overview of the development and basic stratigraphy of the High Karst area, the Adriatic foreland and Istria. Uplift of the Dinarides, Dinaric foreland basins, the Neogene of the Dinarides. Quaternary, traces of glaciation in the Dinarides. Geology of the northern Croatia. The main geological events in the area of northern Croatia, the most important fossil organisms and their evolution. Precambrian and older Paleozoic deposits of northern Croatia. Younger Paleozoic deposits of northern Croatia. Mesozoic of northern Croatia. Cenozoic of northern Croatia.
