Iva Habinovec was born in October 1990. She graduated in 2014 at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. Title of graduate thesis was "Analysis of triazine and phenylurea herbicides in soil by microwave-assisted extraction and liquid chromatography".
From February 2015 she works as an expert associate at Division of Analytical Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. In academic year 2015 / 2016 she enrolled in Doctoral Studies in Chemistry.
Her scientific interest are chromatographic techniques and developing of hyphenated analytical tools for analyzing impurities in drug substances and bioactive molecules by using LC-SPE/cryo-NMR techniques.
