COURSE GOALS: Advanced organic chemistry course

LEARNING OUTCOMES AT THE LEVEL OF THE PROGRAMME:
1. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
1.2. demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamental concepts in chemistry
1.4. demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of the most important chemistry laws and theories

1. Understand the deeper meaning of the molecular structure
2. Understand the structure-reactivity relationship
3. To be able to predict the products of organic chemical reaction

5. Understand the principles of catalysis in organic and bioorganic reactions

4. Hammett-Taftov equations
5. Effect of solvent
6. Most important reaction mechanisms
7. Kinetic isotope effects
8. Photochemical reacions

REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS:
Attending lectures.
