Who can apply?
All postgraduate students of the Faculty of Science can participate in the Symposium, irrespective of their year of study. Additionally, postgraduate students from STEM-related faculties (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) are eligible to apply. We hereby invite and encourage all students across various academic levels, undergraduate and graduate, to register as passive participants and enrich our symposium. The Faculty of Science PhD Students Symposium offers a prime opportunity for forging new connections, networking, learning, generating new ideas and creating a cheerful, and above all, educational two-day gathering.
How can you participate?
You can participate actively through an oral or poster presentation or passively. The Symposium aims to foster connections among doctoral students from the Faculty of Science and related faculties, promoting their interaction and potential collaboration. As the program will contain lectures from various study programs and scientific disciplines, students are advised to structure their presentations to ensure comprehension by all attendees. Similarly, we encourage poster presenters to adapt their posters for a broader audience.

Participation in the Symposium can be evaluated with ECTS credits according to the decision of the competent council of doctoral studies.

Registrations opening: December 18th, 2023
Abstract submission deadline: February 16th, 2024 March 1st, 2024
Passive participation registration deadline: April 15th, 2024
NO registration fee.
Symposium language
The official language of 8th PhDSS is English, therefore abstracts and all presentations should be prepared in English.
