Biography

Marin Mićunović was born in 1995 in Split, where he completed primary and secondary school. In 2014, he enrolled in the undergraduate university study of geography, research specialisation at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, and in 2017 received his baccalaureate degree on the topic Recent morphological changes of Zogon beach (Sveta Nedjelja, Hvar island) under the mentorship of Professor Sanja Faivre. In 2017, he enrolled in the graduate study of geography, research specialisation in the module Physical geography with geoecology, and received his Master’s degree in 2019 with the thesis Geomorphological characteristics of the beaches of Hvar Island under the mentorship of Professor Sanja Faivre. That same year, he enrolled in the Doctoral study of geography, and is currently preparing his doctoral dissertation under the mentorship of Professor Sanja Faivre. His primary research interests are coastal geomorphology, karst geomorphology, GIS, remote research and climate change.
